I always list EVERYTHING!! When I went away for the weekend my list went something along the lines of:

10am - weather permitting pigs into run
11am - check on pigs
12 noon - check on pigs
1.00 - do poop patrol in piggies cage
2pm - feed pigs the greens
6pm - pigs into the house for a cuddle and brush
8pm - feed pigs (dried food) and check water
10pm - cover pigs for the night

I am very strict in all my routines for animals and kids, our mealtimes are always the same, in fact its so bad that if ever I am 10 minutes late with dinner the kids are sat waiting! Also make sure he knows how to clean them out and what days its got to be done. When we go away for a week I do it the morning before we go so that the person looking after them only has to do it once cause I only do a full cage clean twice a week.

Also leave the number of your vet - just in case O0

Have fun! Where you going, somewhere nice??

Like Nicky has said try and keep them in the routine or one very similar to the one that they are in now. Make sure he knows what to feed them and when, it would be a good idea to make a list e.g. Monday - unlimited cereal and hay and broccoli, Tuesday - unlimited cereal and hay and carrot. Make sure he doesn't forget their water and to check the water more on warmer days. Make sure he knows how to clean/ keep them clean. Handling and grooming. Also tell him the characters of the guineas, this way he may be able to spot if there is something wrong if they start acting oddly. And don't forget to give him the vets number. I think that is all. exactly... it depends on your routine. Go through everything you do. lable bags of food etc with stickers so they know which ones you mean. Keep it as simple as possible with bullet points. E.g. replace dry mix in food bowls, give 3 handfulls of hay (in left hand corner of room) etc. I usually chop some veg and put it in a tupperware tub to get my Mum started. take food like potatoes that they cant have out of the fridge so that no mistakes can be made.

Also do any of your pigs have special diet? I have a pig who can't have tomatoes- they give him lip sores. I have this marked on his cage along with his name (they all have lables) so that my Mum can talk to them.

Leave emeergency money for anything you might run out of or vets etc and contact number just incase.

most of all try enjoy yourself... hopefully your piggys will be fine. ;)
