Hi all. Just had a question for anyone who might know. My guinea pig squeaks once. She does this a couple of times a day. She is eating and drinking normally and doesn't appear to be ill in any way. Just wondering if anyone knows why this is. Thanks
 
We can’t really tell you. Is it when she hears a bag rustling or is it random? Does she look like she’s toileting when she does it? If it persists I would take her to the vet.
 
Its random. Her pee is normal in color so nothing going on there. Again its really random like a couple of times a day.
 
Her pee may be a normal colour but watch to see if she’s toileting when she squeaks.
 
Will do. Just an FYI. The other day when I was with her and she was on a pee pad as I was combing her hair she went pee and made no noise at all. Its so weird. I'm probably worrying about nothing. lol

Can you please narrow it down to the circumstances and if possible take a video? Your report is a bit too thin to go by as this is a very wide field...

Does it happen when your piggy is peeing or pooing (in which case you should see a vet for a urinary tract problem); does it happen when she piggy washes or picks up the caecotroph poos from her anus? Does she react to a noise or a specific situation? Is she a single piggy or is she reacting to her companion?
 
Hi. Unfortunately if I were to take a video I wold be filming her all day. It’s not regular at all. It’s once or twice a day. Not when she pees or poops. I don’t know what else to do or check. If I were to take her to the vets I’m not sure if this is an illness. I can call my vet in the morning. I have a really good vet.

Hi!

Unfortunately we can't help you until you can narrow it down more. Try to keep a closer eye on her and see whether you can catch her out.
By all means have her vet checked.

Hopefully it is just one of these things. Just keep a closer eye on her for the time being.
