I have three beautiful girl piggies and I'm totally obsessed with them and love them to bits. Therefore being a pig fan I also like looking up pictures and info regarding piggies in general on the web however, everytime I put the serach critera Guinea Pigs or Guinea Pig Pictures I end up with loads of pictures on them being eaten (how anyone could eat such adorable creatures is beyond me) or information about the Guinea Pig Festival in Peru, which far from making me smile makes me sick to the stomach and extremely upset. Does anyone know any way to make a goodle search safe and prevent it bring up such horrible results? Thanks. :)
 
When you go to Google Images
Click on [SIZE=+1]Advanced Image Search Just to the right of where you click search images.[/SIZE][SIZE=-1]SafeSearch[/SIZE][SIZE=-1]No filtering Use moderate filtering Use strict filtering

Thanks Bailey, just tried that - but it still seemed to bring up the same results - for some reason the critera 'blonde guinea pig babies' brings up a photo of one on someones dinner plate. I'm starting to think the safest way to look at piggy pictures is to look at people on the forums avatars! :)
 
It's horrible I agree. I saw that one on a plate too when I searched for guinea pigs and for weeks all I could think about was that. It didn't help my family were joking about eating them and stuff. ><

I got so upset I snapped at them in the end and they were like 'whoa we were only joking' and I knew that but if you keep repeating it its not a joke anymore.
 
I know, people at work are continually going on about eating them, really annoys me - it's not even like it's the kind of thing that was even funny the first time.

I managed to find something on the Peru Guinea Pig Festival while I was searching, why I read the snippet on google cos I might have known it wouldn't be nice, and now I'll be upset for months!

I don't agree with eating meat at the best of times but to eat poor little piggies just makes me angry!
 
It is horrible.

My friend just visited Peru and apparently had to try it as its local cuisine... Whenever he visits I put a big sign on the boys cage saying "We Are Not FOOD!" Its just their culture and to them its just like us eating chicken i guess but we've domesticated Guinea Pigs in this country and personally I find it quite upsettign seeing all the pics on google, so I stopped searching in the end
