... And I appreciate it's a worrying time for anyone going through this.

My boar Reuben had IC for 2 years before it cleared. It's very distressing to see blood in urine... My vet explained it was Sterile IC..... Therefore, antibiotics wouldn't work.

Yes my vet explained that too :) Emma had IC for 3 years and Ellen 2.5 years but Ellen has gone 10 months with no symptoms so we stopped IC treatment 10 months ago assuming it had stopped but them she started weeing blood again two weeks ago and a sample showed blood and infection so she’s been treated for a uti. If the symptoms come back now the antibiotics have finished, I’ll have to start he IC treatment again. It’s such a difficult and frustrating thing to diagnose. Both Emma and Ellen had urine cultures, ultrasounds and xrays done to rule out all the nasties before IC was diagnosed

Such an awkward problem bladders are

IC is really tricky, one of our first piggies had it, we had to use cystease and metacam longterm along with cartophen injections

Did it go away before the end of the pigs life? Something must be going good with dot because the last two days shes very active and just alert really, back to eating hay with some agression lol. Last night she was head butting my phone out of my hand to ask for more grass

No sadly not, but she was happy and eating. We just managed her pain

you have one of the best vets in the country on the case, so that is worth something remember that

Dot is probably on her best behaviour and excited about meeting her man! How long until bonding? Stay positive! X
