i just need a little advice. I have recently moved into a new home and now we are all set up I have been in talks with Allan at West Suffolk RSPCA about boar dating/getting a baby friend for Dudley.
I am due to go on holiday at the beginning of May and Dudley usually goes to a friends and will be put in a smaller cage for the 2 weeks rather than them having to have my C&C cage.
I really wanted to get Dudley a friend ASAP but don't know whether I should hold off until I am back from holiday as it would mean the 2 of them being in a smaller cage and they would have only been together a month.
He is also still suffering from his sore leg so would it be wise to wait, let him get better etc before I get a friend? If I waited he would be able to have a baby friend, if I done it now he would have one that a year old.
Or do I get him a friend and then try and find somewhere to look after them both for when I go away (not sure I'm happy about that option though as I feel bad just shipping him off to a random place to be locked away for a couple of weeks?
My heart says get a friend now but my head is saying wait until your back so you can be there to monitor the first couple of months fully??
