Hello everyone, I had two Guinea pigs and I got a New Guinea pig a couple of weeks ago (quarantine period) I introduced them the first day and it seemed to be going well, then my newest Guinea pig started nipping my older one and she got very dominant and annoyed so I had to separate them before they got into a real fight. And I thought that trying again the next day would help but then the next day my two older ones started getting really annoyed with each other and when I put them and the newest Guinea pig in their "neutral" area my two oldest Guinea pigs started teeth chattering at each other then I put my New Guinea pig in and she started to teeth chatter too and her hair was raised and after that I started to panic and I separated them (for the moment). I don't know if separating them was the right thing to do but I didn't want any of them to get hurt. Also I don't know if I should separate them for the rest of their lives or try putting them together again.
If any of you have any suggestions that would be great thanks!
P. S.
I don't know if this will help but my New Guinea pig was by herself for two months before I got her.
