Hi there - i'm just after some advice about introducing guinea pigs to eachother.
I have two female pigs (Nelly and Nala) and am introducing a third female (Piglet). I've had Piglet for a couple of days and she's been in a separate cage next to Nelly and Nala whilst she settles. Throughout the last couple of days she's been showing a lot of interest to Nelly and Nala and so today I moved her into their C&C cage with a barrier in between her and them for them to be closer to each other. All day Nelly and Nala have been right next to the divide trying to get into her, and Piglet's been sticking her nose through the bars & they've been sniffing eachother. There seems to be positive reactions, a lot of happy shakes & popcorning & no rumble strutting/teeth chattering. My question is when do you think I should let them properly meet outside of the cage? Should I leave it a few days to monitor their behaviour towards each other?
