It is indeed a wonderful photo and by looking at it i can figure out that they were the very best of buddies. Lots of loveThanks
Those were my first two piggies - Shadow and Sunrise (RIP). Shadow was a neglected and lonely sow who had been a child's pet, along with her hutch-mate who died early on. She had been on her own for some time, the kids had lost interest and she was basically just a chore for Dad to look after, which he did minimally.
The family were glad to be rid of her, and rehomed them to me.
Anyhow, she was with us on her own in her hutch in the living room, all nervous, for a week while we sourced out a friend for her and built an indoor cage, similar to C&C.
The ginger was the youngster we got to go with her, calling her Sunrise as she became Shadow's ray of sunshine and brightened up her life immediately. The change was beautiful to see.
This picture was taken after Sunrise had grown somewhat, of the two of them harmoniously sharing some Readigrass in a paper bag. It's one of my favourite photos, even though you can't see their faces, it shows the spirit of their friendship.
