introducing c-section pig...

meet C-section pig...
She has come from an un-known background...
Left in a box with 6 other pigs...
i took them all in on a temperary basis... untill they could get over to a rescue...
but in the first 24 hours... it became obvious that all of them had minor illness'... and that C-section pig was heavily pregnant... a vet visit later... and all of them were set up with treatments for different problems...
but C-section pig hadnt eaten anything or drank anything or passed any poo's.... I picked them up at evening time... and by the next afternoon i was flooring my car down the motor way to get C-Section pig to the specialist vets in Shirley...
where i walked straight in to a treatment room... my vets had already phoned ahead to them and faxed info to them....
the vet has a feel of her... and my suspisions were confirmed that she is toxic... and will need emergency surgery...
C-section pig had 3 babies... all of them had unfortunatly already passed over the bridge... and had started rotting...all the placentas had disintergrated.... it is estimated that they could have died aslong as a week prior to the emergency op....
this had caused extensive damage to her uterus...
she was spayed at the same time...
she has been unbelievably strong through out... she woke up 15 mins after being brought round... and was eating in 20 mins...
fantastic girlie... she definatly has a special place in my heart...
so without further delay....

Are you going to keep her once she's all healed up? :)
 
Such a heartbreaking story, with a bitter-sweet new beginning to her life. I hope she recovers speedily, such a beautiful girl x)

i know... its awful...

i am going to keep her...
i have a bore Boris... whos ment to have been going to the rescue with the other guys... Boris was a failed bonding from friends and i was again... a stop gap for him...
and well... i fell in love with boris... couldnt justify keeping him on his todd.... and then c-section pig hopped on to the scene... and its obviosly ment to be....
i wouldnt want to put c-section pig in with the herd as they can be quite rough at times... and she needs a gentle life i think...
and boris as an absolut sweetheart...

so yeh... i will be keeping her.... couldnt let her go after everything we've been through...

I just wanted to add I have had the privelige of meeting both piggies and c-section pig (man, she needs a name lol!) is a very happy chirpy pig considering what she's been through, you'd never have guessed! and Boris is beoooutiful! He's so cuddly! xx>>> Clares a STAR for taking them all in!

first dibs on Boris if it doesnt work out...;)

Matilda means powerful in battle, I know because I've got one! I like to choose names based on the meaning.

Astrid? Apparently it is the Norwegian form of a Germanic name meaning " Divine strength ".
Glad she's looking so well after her ordeal, she is a sweetie. :)

So good that you have her, she is so blessed. That was a terrible thing for any creature to go through; she could have been septic very soon if she wasn't already. Names? How about "Millie", short for the Spanish "milagro", meaning "miracle".

I think clares gonna be getting the industrial locks on her hutches soon out of fear of us pignappers lmao! :))
