Hi

Totally new to this forum, and piggies so I thought i make a post here

Eddie is an adoptee from P@H .. yea i know all the reasons, however, he has been sitting there for a few weeks, and I noticed he would never move out of his little hideyhole, never was tempted to go and come up to the glass.

Last week I was back with mydaughter, we needed food etc for the degus and chinchillas, and we decided he had to come hoe with us.

He is lovely and the reason why nobody wantd him was that he has a sort of headtilt,. He sways his head around a lot, cant walk in a straightline, runs in circles and when going to fast he falls over x) He is adorable though, white, pink eyes very pink ears and soft beige strips over his head x)

Little clip of him

Its the reason why nobody wanted him. He had been on 2 courses of anti-biotics according to them, though we know the vet they use and he is not an exotic pet, he is not very good at all ( we did tellthem) so yesterday we took him to our own (Rosetree Cottage Vets in Runcorn)

She thinks some swlling may still bethere, accounting for this behaviour, and gave him an anti-inflammatory and need to take him back next monday.

if it improves great, if not, not biggie,as he is happy now, eating wel, drinking well and is very active

I am not bothered,as long as I know he is happy. Who knows, once he has settled, I will probably be looking to get hima companion as on the moment he is getting far too close and intimate with the stuffed elephant in his cage! :))

It will definately be a rescued piggie, all our animals are rescued and happy.

He is absolutely adorable. Can see why you couldn't leave him there.

Welcome to the forum, well done for rescuing Eddie it seems as if he has found the perfect home.xx

He's adorable! And so little! How old is he? It's been ages since mine were that little, I'd forgotten how small they were when I first got them....they are huge now!

aww so lovely I don't think anything needs to be said about him being a P@H adoption, the idea behind rescuing is that every pig deserves a home and thats exactly what you have given him. From your description it sounded like he needed urgent medical treatment anyway and its so sad that a.) P@H wouldn't get that for him and b.) that no one wanted him because of it.

I hope he continues to be happy and it sounds like he now has his perfect home

thanks :)

Thanks for all that :) Yes I forgot to say he is only 4 months old! x)

Poor boy; he really looks uncomfortable!

I hope that the new anitibiotics and your good care can clear him. Make sure that you give probiotics to bolster the guts and lots of vitamin C (but not in the water!). Guinea pigs can't make their own.

aww hes so adorable i hope new antibiotics can help you did a wonderful job in rescuing him i dont think i could have resisted him either :)

:))Ah he's lovely, glad he's with you, he has the chance of a great life now, well done, fingers crossed the antibiotics will sort Eddie out
