Introducing Farran and Ferrer

Now I had said no more piggies after ending up with a lone female from a rescue group in poor health and having to find another lone sow only for my sow to pass over the bridge leaving new sow alone with no luck finding a lone female/neutered boar for her to live with I rehomed her (she now is spoiled with Stewybus!) the girls also made my boys squabble, they're much happier without the ladies. However, that being said I am a sucker for boars and spied these two in the adoption centre 2 weeks ago, I didn't take them as much as I wanted to I left them then today I nipped in for a gander and they were still there so they had to come with me. They were handed back by their previous owner, no reason was given other than "family changes". Farran is the grey LH and Ferrer the tricolour (he looks black and tan but has a white nose... how cute!). Their age is unknown but they're pretty young id say going by their nails and how pingy they are! More photos will come soon :D

Congratulations on your new arrivals. They are both lovely. Hope they are settling in well. I always use nails to give an dea on ages also.
 
After having cuddles (and a full examination) with them last night I can only conclude that these boys have been well looked after, they are tame and seem to enjoy cuddles. Farrans coat has been trimmed around his back end and their nails are all neat I had a quick once over with them at the adoption centre and agreed to taking them but didnt do a thorough check. I even let them have a wander around the sofa (leather, handy for animals as can be cleand with disinfectant!) and both were confident to do so even with the cat around. Makes a change having pigs that are confident straight away as most of my previous pigs have been abused rescues rather than just unwanted. It is safe to say they were well and truly part of the family after one night! Even the OH has fallen for the bog brush pig :-) Both boys will be bathed later and Farran will get his rear and sides trimmed up :-)
 
totally smitten for now, however I may not be once I have bathed them tee hee :D
 



Both were absolute stars. Farran was easy peasy to trim even with large scissors! These pigs are beyond easy to look after! Once Farran is dry his hack cut will be posted muahahahahahahe evil piggy mummy ruining his good looks! Little lad has a few matts in his coat and all his white fluffy on his legs and bits was urine stained so all cut off now and will be kept on top of to keep him looking and smelling yummeh
 
Sadly Ferrer had a stroke and did not recover. Farran is coping just fine for now and will be found a new friend shortly :-)
 
Sorry to hear the sad news about Ferrer. Once you've got over it & are ready for a new friend for Farran. I currently have 5 boars which I'm fostering, maybe one may be right for Farran.

Aw i'm so sorry about Ferrer, I have had a stroke piggy and he never quite recovered and passed away shortly after too, so sad, Farran is gorgeous though can see why your smitten :)

I may take you up on that :-) I have brought them all indoors and set up the cages next to each other so Farran is interacting with Peppa (poorly piggy) and George though there for now. Will get Peppa seen to and then move foward with Farrans friend :-) oddly enough there was a lad you have I fell for!

Thanks everyone he was a right sweety sad to see him go :-)
