Hi every one, I am hoping some one will be able to help me out. I started of with 2 sows last may then introduced a 3rd wich whent well and she was soon part of the family. I have gained a 4th sow in november, she has been living with the original 3 but keept seperate from them to get used to each other. Over the past month I have tried to mix them but every time world war 3 breaks out, teeth chattering then thay all start flying at each over. Have introduced loads of guinea pigs in the past and this is the first time this has happened.

Is there any thing I can do or will they just not get along?

cheers eddy

Is there away to move or delete this thread, I think I have posted in the wrong section.:(

Hi Eddy. Did you introduce them in a neutral space? You cannot introduce them in the cage and the cage must be fully cleaned before puttting them all back in there. With sows they do teeth chatter for dominance. It does look worse then it is. As long as they are not drawing blood it is fine to leave them to it. This happened when I first introduced mine and once they have sorted out who is in charge they should settle down. You need to ensure the cage is big enough for them to live in. Have you a c and c cage?

Hi the pigs where introduced on neutral ground, the 3 original pigs have the run of a heated shed for the winter so thay got loads of space, just seemed very aggresive and not just to the new pig but they all turned on each other. All new bedding and hay was but in the shed to help with the sent issue.
