Today we visited the wonderful woodland sanctuary and picked up a gorgeous sow abyssinian and a n/ boar agouti tri. They were kept in a nice big pen about 6 or so boys and a female! All living peacefully! I would never have believed it! Today we took back just the two and in a few months we will have made a nice big C&C and will look to have 2 more sows! :)

But for now, here is Momo the aby and Appa the tri :)

Boars can live in groups if they have plenty of space and you have also got additional space for those boars that don't get on (there are those). I have heard of a few successful groups, but it is something to aspire to when you have sufficient experience and can provide a suitable setting, and not something you should try to start out with. We have dealt with a few disasters of the latter kind on this forum, and it wasn't nice!

Wow! sounds like a great big plan in mind! Good luck with it, and congrats on your gorgeous new comers. I hope to have an aby one day I lurv their hair!
 
Congratulations! I am so pleased for you after what you've been through recently. They are both gorgeous x
 
I was so lucky with these two. I literally just turned up asking for females, but they said the 2 main females they had had just popped babies so were not available, the only female left was the aby! And then she suggested the tricolour as her longest companion at the rescue. So despite the fact we liked the more relaxed attitude of one of the other males, it was a no brainer who we were going to take to come with her. Vet check is tomorrow, and I've bought some wood to start designs on the table already!

oh yeah, and we've had the on the bed with us this evening.. The little shy lady came at rested against my arm, and the boy gave me a lick! GUSH! They still wont let me stroke them for more than a second though :P
