How long should you introduce new food with their old food? as i'm trying to get my 9 piggies off the Pets at Home nuggets but none of them seem interest in the new food, they jusst eat their veggies instead

Thanks x

Have you been sprinkling in the new pellets with the old food? What new brand are you using?

Welcome to the forum by the way :)

Yeah I've been mixing it in with their Pets at home nuggets... I'm trying Wagg/Harrington's brand.

Thank you :)

I know its not recomended but I just switched them over, finshed the old pellets and didnt buy anymore. whilst they have a choice they may not eat them.

Could you try 2 food dishes one with PAH nuggets in and one with harringtons in?

Two of our girls are on Wagg, our lone piggie 'Megan' is on Burgess excel, The girls didn't like Megan's Burgess pellets when I tried to switch them across. So we are still using 2 different type's.

mine have marsdens and harringtons. as with 8 harringtons is expensive.

2 prefer harringtons the others dont really mind.

I want to change because I've heard bad reviews about Pets at home, I only get my food from there.

Where do you get Marsdens from? Does that work out cheaper then?

What i do and it seems to work.
Is the tub i use for their food i put their new food at the bottom and their old food on the top and give it a slight mix with my hand and then their diet will gradually change from one to the other.

marsdens is sold on ebay for i think £19.10 for 30kg (in 2 15kg bags) which is great if you have a few piggies i think for just 2 or 3 it would go off to quickly.

Oh right ok, i have 9 piggies. Yeah thats a good price, i'm after something with a good price but decent food for them :)
