Here's my new rex boys...

For those of you who had been following my thread about potential lethal piggys in a local pet shop, these are the boys I was talking about.

It appears Lars is probably deaf and blind but I will be visiting the vet to confirm. Niko also appears to have a problem with voluntary control of his left front paw so he will be having a vet check too.

Here's Niko...

And Lars (named for the character in the childrens book The Littlest Polar Bear as his fur makes him look like a polar bear..)

I will get some better pigtures when they've settled in a bit better and my big camera is charged.

They are beautiful litle fuzzys though!

Awww, lovely to be able to put a piggy face to these two! I've been following your thread on them, so glad they are in safe hands now! xx>>>

Aww they are beautiful! Glad they are safe with you now.

What sweeties, glad they have a loving forever home now :)

Handsome boys x) Hope the vets visit is all fine!

hope all goes well at the vets, they are lovely and nice to put a piggy face to them after hearing about them.

The boys have been introduced properly to the OH today now she's calmed down a bit. She's still not keen on them being permanent additions but she is loving them...

She's a doctor and has had a good look at Lars today. She reckons his hearing isn't too bad but can't comment on his sight.

Oh and now she's met them their names are under debate so as soon as I have updated names then I'll post them!

awwwwwwwwwwww they're rather gorgeous x)droolx)drool
whee await to find out their names.................... :)

The current thinking is Hamish (white) and Ruaridh ( pronounced roo-ree, which is gaelic for read head) for the giner and white one.

Vet check tonight but they've settled in really well already.

Hamish & Angus

Went to the vet this afternoon and had both boys checked. The ginger and white one ( Now known as Angus!) is fine.

The lethal boy (now known as Hamish!) is not too bad. She reckons he has some visual loss and some hearing loss but his eyes are small so it's difficult to tell how much vision he is missing.
He has all his teeth but his rear molars are a bit sharp on their inside edge and his cheeks were full of food. He seems to be munching happily especially hay. I have to take him back to review his teeth in a few months once he's grown a bit more.

Just trying to interest them both in food now.. They are not quite sure what to make of veggitibbles yet but they looooooveeee hay. They are eating it at some silly rate!
