So some of you may know that I've had an awful year with my boys, Boris and Badger. Both came down with long term illness within weeks of each other, culminating with them both passing away within the last month. I've been devastated, especially so as they passed nearly exactly two weeks apart.

In attempts to cheer me up, my SO took me out for a meal and shopping...which turned into Guinea pig shopping.

Long story short, I came home with these beauties:

Pumpkin and Pepper!

They're both 13 week old girlies, and yes, I bought them from Pets at Home (don't crucify me). I had no intention of having any pigs for a while, especially via buying them.

I had all intentions to adopt further down the line but I fell in love and couldn't leave them. They've helped me a lot, and taken the time I would have been wallowing about Boris and Badger and turned it into something positive. The boys legacy lives on!

This is their house:

A 2X4 C&C (I ordered this while away on holiday for Badger, he never got the chance to use it:( )

They're both very happy and healthy. Pumpkin is definitely the bolder of the two; Pepper follows and copies what she does! They've gained 40g since being with me, so they're both 440g.

I thought I'd introduce them, as they're bringing me a lot of happiness and I wanted to share that. They're definitely relaxing me after this year of sorrow and stress.

You'll probably be bombarded with photos and posts - you've been warned!

They

ARE

GORGEOUS!:luv::luv::luv:

I can't even choose between them!
Yes please bombard with more photos of such piggy cuteness.

Oh wow, gorgeous. :luv:. I can see how you couldn't resist, glad they are helping you with the loss of Boris and Badger you have been through such a horrible time. Looking forward to seeing many more photos.

Wonderful - what happy news after such a difficult year.
Can't wait to see lots more photos and hear stories of all of their antics.

Woo-zer, wonderful news and I'm sure they will have a most enjoyable home ever. It's great news that you are also recovering yourself. No one should ever underestimate how it affects you when loosing a beloved pet, they are always more than a pet.

Wheek look forward to seeing more pigtures as they settle in.

Oh. My. Word. :luv::luv:. What a pair of stunners.
Can't wait to see more photos once they have settled in. Good to hear that their arrival has lifted your spirits x

They are beautiful, do share more photos! I am sorry you have had such a tough year but I am sure these two are going to be very therapeutic.

They are lovely - I have recently got a "next generation" of baby piggies myself - you forget how wonderful little ones are - I too desperately needed them after the loss of my Bumble xx
