We had arranged to date Suilven at Glynneath with Suzy but due to various things and OH's distrust of my managing to drive so far on my own we decided to wait for another boar dating opportunity.

When Tameside posted on their website that they had 16 baby boars needing homes it sounded ideal and some of them were long haired. i've been desperate for a long haired since seeing some beautiful texel boys in a pet shop last year.

So we visited Elaine at Tameside and came home with this little scrap...

He's supposedly 6 weeks old but he looks more like 4. He had mites when he arrived at Elaine's so she treated him and he's mite free, just has a few wee scratchy patches to heal up which are doing great.

Not sure what breed he is but he's super soft and has some rosettes I think but it's difficult to tell!

What a gorgeous little ball of fluff! squeeee!

Awwwww, Hes' lush! Congratulations! bet you are both really excited and so is Sully! Any idea's on names yet? I love his colours and funky haircut drool x)

No name yet. It will be scottish to go with the other three.

He's hopefully going for a vet check in the next day or two just to introduce him to our vet.

We thought about Rannoch as he looks a little bit like a wild moorland...

Any ideas on his breed? He's Agouti and White with a ginger tuft on his bum that you can't see in the pictures. x>>

Omg rach he's beautiful! drool He looks like winston my lunkarya! Or he could be crossed with one at least!
Congrats hope it's the start of a beautiful friendship!

Ooooo Rannoch, how do you pronouce that? 'Rann'-'och'? It's a cool sounding name!

He is lovely, I'm really pants at breeds, would love to know what he is....

I knew Bev would know!
@Bev- you so good with identifying breeds!

Hehe! I'm a breed geek, helped by the fact that my memory is photographic
At the moment he looks too long to be merino plus no rosette on the head, not wavy enough to be texel whose waves are quite crimpy so I'm going with lunkarya for the moment! Unless anyone else has any other thoughts? :(|)

I love his little pink feet!

Suzy thought Lunkyara too. He has rosettes on his sides, kind of but def not on his head. He really soft but has curly whiskers.

He loves Gill to bits already he just flops out on her chest as flat as a piece of roadkill. He's hilarious.

He can't reach into the food bowl and keep his back feet on the ground so he just gets into it and sits there looking smug! He's been stealing pieces of lettuce from Suilvy too... He's definately not shy.

Angus and Hamish are going mad with the smell of new pig but he'll need to be a bit bigger before he can meet them.

What a yummy little man! Can't wait to get my hands on him drool xx>>> drool !

I like Rannoch, lovely name for a lovely boy!

x

Oh my! He is absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to see him when he's a big chunky monkey!x)x)x)

Any news on his name? How is he settling in? Such a little cutie x)

Settling in really well. He's a boisterous little thing but loves his cuddles. He's a climber too so he fits in really well with my other 3 monkeys. Came in yesterday to find him on top of The big fiddlesticks house squeaking and looking proud of himself!
