Having had his brother Squeak make his way to the rainbow bridge just over a month ago, Bubble has now got a friend, Truffle (ginger Abby), to keep him company. Truffle has been with us for nearly 4 weeks now and is nearly 11 weeks old. Even though we tried to adopt, it wasn't to be for one reason or another, and so we got Truffle from PAH. Bubble wasn't doing so well on his own (eating and drinking, but sitting and not moving much, away from Squeak's favourite spots in the cage), and so we needed to get him a companion quicker than planned.
The bonding went amazingly well, and it was like they had always been together! There was one funny moment when Truffle was hiding under the pile of hay, and carried out an ambush as Bubble walked past. Bubble just nudged him back under the hay with his head, with a look on his face as if to say "youngsters"?! Uncle Bubble is making a very good job of showing Truffle the ropes. Truffle keeps giving Bubble lots of kisses, which is just adorable! Both Bubble and Truffle have been doing lots of popcorns together! I'm glad we have got a lid on the cage, as Truffle is extra springy.....about a week after he had been here, he did such a big popcorn, that he ricocheted off of the lid (about 14 inches from the floor) and then the wall of the cage! Here are a few pigtures.....

Oh my God what a beauty and how funny that he bounced off the ceiling and the side of the cage! Sounds like he is a fun guinea pig and will be a good entertainment for Bubble.

I hope Truffle is very settled now and I’m sure Bubble is happy to have a friend ❤️
Truffle has settled in really well, and is such a friendly and chatty little chap! Bubble is a lot more himself again, now that he has a friend. which is really lovely to see! We are not sure if Truffle is an Abby now, as his rosettes have kind of disappeared (apart from one on top of his head), and his fur has got longer and lighter in colour.....probably a mix of breeds. I will post some more photos, as soon as I get my new phone up and running properly!
