Hello! I would like to ask advise. I just bought 11 weeks old male for my 8 month old male. I don't really want to do quarantine because he won't be baby anymore and I think that that's why they might not bond together. Please can anyone give me some advise. Is it ok to introduce them now? Thank you

You have to put the baby in quarantine for two weeks as he could have anything. Once the two weeks is up you can try to bond them if he seems healthy. This will help you

Thank you very helpfully. Would like to ask if I do introduce them earlier that 2 weeks because just read another post about that girl did introduce them straight away saying other wise the youngster would be too old and won't get along anymore, does that make sense?

Better to wait two weeks, its not going to make any difference to bonding, hes still going to be very young. And if he is from a petshop then i would never trust exactly what they say about age anyway, sorry to say.

x.

Thank you. Just one more question - if I just take him to the vet and also I ve got some stuff from mites too, and if vet will say he s healthy do I still need to wait?

Even if he has a clean bill of health from the vet you do still need to wait two weeks as some conditions take a while to show up.

Thank you very helpfully. Just really hard to wait for so long and I think my older one did smell something cause was very vocal the day I bought him. I'm very scarred if they won't like each other

It can be scary mixing boars. It is always best to take them to a rescue were they can choose their own friend. If they do not get along at least you have the space to separate them and can take them boar dating to both find a friend.
