BOOFLE.
I know you all dont agree with p&h but I went out with a mission to adopt, but all they had in the 3 stores I went in were boys. And I dont want to have babies. And they were stunning as well.
So after a long chat with the assistant, who may I add was totally sweet and very helpful I had a cuddle up with Boofle and we took to each other instantly.

I put her in with the other 2 for a short while and watched over them for the duration of her time with them. Tam had a sniff all over.Even round her mouth, but then had a little nip, so she has been moved for a little while into a makeshift cage. Shes very still so obviously taking in her new surroundings. I presume little and often with the other two?

Your little girl is gorgeous!

I keep my newbies as close to the others for a day or two until they have got their bearings and have had time to take in the neighbours. I wait until I see the newbe being interested in what the Tribe is doing.

Then I do the big introduction on neutral ground. You get a short acceptance phase and then pretty immediately after the dominance phase which you will have to sit through even though what looks to us like bullying behaviour is not easy to bear - piggies need to spell everything out in capitals where we can make do with a hint.

With girls, any problems usually show straight away within the first quarter of an hour (acceptance phase). You may see a renewal of dominance behaviour when you transfer your piggies back to the big cage. Please clean it out and "neutralise" it (walls and furniture, too!) as much as possible. It also helps to rearrange the huts etc. for the newbies arrival so it is as new to everypig as possible.

Please do not separate - piggies actually need to work through a strict protocol and all you are doing is interrupting it and forcing them to start afresh. They can meet through bars beforehand, but once you put them together, you have to commit and sit it out unless there are bloody fights or excessive bullying (keeping a newbie from food or sleep).

Here are more tips on bonding and sow behaviour:

Aww, she's sweet. I hope introductions go well with your other 2. :)

OOOH OK. I shall do a clean out in a little while. I usually spray and clean the cage with every change.
It wasnt very nice seeing Tam go for her.She is my dominent one after all, and I wasnt expecting anything else. But when I put Boofle in with them she ran straight to them and cuddled up. I nearly got the other girlie she was in with but she was really quite small. I did ask if they were ready and she said that they were.
The other p&h were really helpful and said although they were on show they wernt for sale until Friday. One of the stores even had in instore vet, which I was impressed with.
I'm glad you like her she is very sweet. And we took to each other right away.
Is it ok to leave them overnight, or shall I introduce her back into my clan in the morning?So I can keep an eye on them all.

Oh I must show you the other side of her face, she looks like a totally different piggie from the other side. Pure white..

Coronet=Gaga
Teddy=Tam
and Boofle. I am unsure of her breed.x>>

All seems well at the moment. Boofle has plopped herself under the log arch and is happily munching away on the hay, and has even gone to her pellets that I bought as well today. Tam has been rumblestrutting(little madam) but shes steering clear, occasionally going over to Boofle for a sniff. When I got her out of the bath she chattered her teeth at me for the first time ever, so I had words.lol
All is well in the Cross household at the mo. Will keep you posted

Awwww shes adorable and seems to love her new mummy already too. That first pic is so cute :)
I'm sure the girls will soon get on with her too x

Hi. Weibke..Just thought Id let you know everything seems to be going well so far. Shes still under the log archm but has popped out for a nibble. The other girlies are not sniffing so much, so fingers crossed:))

Aw shes gorgeous, i cant believe how different she looks on the other side!

Oh well I must say Tam is definatly showing her dominent behavour.One minute shes going for Boofle(no blood drawn) and then I catch this..

Boofle makes it very very clear when shes not happy with whats going on, Wheeks extremly loudly and Tam does actually back off. So shes making her point thankgoodness.
Heres some more pics of my girlies. And the upturned pet box I bought Boofle home in. Funny how most creatures like a box, and that includes kids....

Hub says Boofle looks like a rat without a tail. TUTS VERY LOUDLY:p

What is the third piggy called? (Sorry if I missed this!) Tam, Boofle and ... ?
All very pretty :)

it sounds very normal behaviour - I'm just going through it as well!

Tam is my teddy and the dominent one
Gaga is my peruvian/coronet very docile
And Boofle. I'm not sure what breed she is though. But she is very sweet

Oh and P.S I'm going through the same too..
Whenever Annie goes where Doris is when she's relaxing she squeals to tell her to go away.. and Doris every so often rumble struts Annie.. I think one time she must have been on heat cos she was chasing Annie allll the time trying to mount her.. I've never seen her move so fast and she's four! I put them in the run so Annie had more of a chance to escape :p
