Two weeks ago the piggy family welcomed a new family member: Kylie

Kylie was love at first sight, but when I first saw her pigture, she was already reserved for someone else. I was a little sad about it, but since it wasn't really planed to add another piggy to the group, it wasn't that bad.
When I noticed that the reservation has been canceled about two weeks later, I couldn't believe my eyes. So it wasn't planned, but it seemed to be a sign.

This was the first pigture in her new home. Kylie was born in January.
Her colouring is quite fascinating. She is a California, but in the first pigtures she hardly showed any dark patches. In the second pigture a few weeks later, she was already much darker.
And now two weeks after moving in she is looking like this.

I knew that Californias change their colouring with age, but I didn't expect it to happen sooo quickly.
I love the California's colouring, but I also hoped that she would be easy to take pigtures off - not like my sweet black Vicky, who is a beautiful girl, but a nightmare to photograph.
I think the big guinea pig in the sky is having a good laugh at me.

Kylie has adapted to life in my herd very quickly. She is a fast learner and quite confident. She started taking food out of my hand during the first week and free roaming on day 7.
She loves doing zoomies - and she is sooo fast! - and sleeping in the hammock.
Kylie wasn't really planed and she isn't looking exactely as I expected, but she makes my heart sing and she is much loved by everyone ... well, nearly everyone.
Vicky and Bonny were not amused, but they will get used to the new situation.
