Introduction to dandelion leaves

I have finally introduced Mr. Bailee Boy to dandelion leaves. I have noticed that his poop has been rather soft and not firm like pellets. Why is this if I may ask?

It's because dandelions are a mild diuretic and can make their poo a little softer. Don't let this put you off but just give a small amount. Mine don't get dandelions everyday. They probably get about 4 to 6 leaves each twice a week plus any very small ones they find on the lawn at grass time. Also, sometimes if I've run out of lettuce I substitute it with dandelion leaves.

Once they get used to them they aren't so squishy, mine get them a couple of times a week when in season although I grow them year round as got a tortoise as well
