Hi Folks, I'm new here and wish I'd known about the site a while back!

My name is Paul, and along with my girlfriend Jude we have 5 guinea pigs. They are Fidget, Gizmo, Mo, Davina and Twitch.

Fidget and Gizmo orginally came to us from a small advert locally, and were with us just under a year when we also adopted Mo, Davina and Twitch from Karen at Reading Guinea Pig rescue. Originally it was just going to be Davina and Twitch, but Mo was being very cute that day!

They all live in a two storey c&c cage in our kitchen, and are all very likeable and friendly, especially fidget who is like a teddy bear!

I also am a bit of a webdsigner, and have just made my big project live, www.petsr.org. It is a rescue animals listing site, where rescuers can list their animals individually and then visitors can view animals in there area and contact the rescue from there. We have a number of guinea pigs on there already, as well as a number of dogs, some degus and some other animals. 92 animals in total at the current count! I love to get some feedback on it, so feel free to visit!

OooOOo you told me off for advertising maggs and chuckys babies for rehoming on your site....meany! :( ;) ;D
 
I wasn't telling off, I was just double checking! I have to be careful that no breeders go on there, as I can't have it descending into a free for all advertising site. Some of the rescuers are very sensitive to anything vaguely breeding related, and I dont want to upset them! Had enough trouble with google ads! ;)

Maggs babies are on the preggers page if you wanna look....they are adorable... :smitten: I was hoping there would be a sow so i could keep one but they are looking like 2 boars ::) typical! ;D

:) Hi and welcome :) The girlies are gorgeous as ever, glad they have inspired you to put your talents to good uses ;)

Feedback: You don't have a 'choice' for Satins under the breed section when you're listing pigs. I also think its a little too breed specific- perhaps rough, smooth or long haired, Rex or Satin. There are over 30 varieties of guinea pig and it'd be impossible to list them all and unnecessary, (in my opinion), apart from coat type. Satins have the risk of OD and longhairs are a little bit extra maintenance ?

Hi, Welcome to the site. I am also new here, and I also wish I'd known about it before wasting (excuse me, did I say that?...) SPENDING some time on another forum, which was extremely edgy, arrogant, and uptight. I am so glad to find this one. I'm new, but already have very opposite vibes from the one I was getting off the other forum in the same amount of time. I was uptight about typing anything, because I knew someone (one of two mainly) would take issue with it and have some snide response....This was the case with so many of the threads I'd read. One got down right ugly, and the writer of the "rules", the admin. was one of them, doing exactly what the snappy toned rules told not to do! Anyway, I'm so glad you have found this forum. Welcome, and yes, you will soon be addicted to the piggies, and possibly this forum. Piggies steal your heart, that is for sure..... Looking forward to hearing from you and your girlfriend.

hi Paul welcome to a wondeful forum you have some wonderful pigs and they pose beautifully for the photos you could make a set of christmas cards out of them pics , I hope you and your girlfriend make lots of new friends on here, this is very friendly forum only now and again does it get heated but its well patrolled by our guards other wise known as the mods Ellie Kate and Susie, ;)
 
Stubblychin, No, I'm not talking about guineapigcages. Are they that way also? I'm talking about theguineapighome....yikes!!
