Invermectin

Hi all,

Just had a question for those with experience in using Invermectin. My two sweet girls have fur mites. Weve bathed them, which removed quite a few, and used a spray treatment as well. We thought we had them on the run, but had noticed on our white pig that very small fur mites had come back. We bought the Invermectin drops from PaH, which says it contains 150 ug as a dosage. We applied the drops to both pigs 2 days ago and were wondering how long before we should notice results?

The girls are scrating a little more than usual, but have no sores or loss of fur or irritation. We want to get them under control of course and will be taking them through to the Vets if the drops dont do the trick for something stronger. Such a hard life being a little piggy :{

It can take more than one application to notice a difference.

I have recently used this as my new boar has come to me with mites, I found he was still itchy as hell after 2 applications of the P@H drops and on friday I took him to the vet and got some of their xeno450 which is 3x the power of the P@H drops.

I can't put these on til tomorrow, but personally I would perhaps call the vet and ask if you can buy this from them. Mine was happy for me to pick them up without an appointment but I ended up taking him because he has cut all his ears with scratching.

I know you hope for it to go away after one dose, but it takes a few.... unfortunately :{

Yeah it would be nice if it only took one. I'll give the Vets a ring and see what they say. Thanks for the response. We appreciate it
