Is blossom dangerous if eaten?

It’s highly toxic to dogs. Not sure about piggies, but I would probably keep piggies away as a precaution. I think a lot of the leaves contain cyanide - but I’m no expert so could be wrong!

Apple, plum and pear blossoms should be ok. If they are outside in a run you could cover it with a thin sheet?
I’m unsure about ornamental cherry blossom though? Some are bred with another shrub sometimes to enhance colour and bloomage

The blossom petals are sadly already in their run. I’ve tried to pick the petals up by hand but there’s too many :( the grass is literally covered in petals

Not sure. We have a blossom tree in our garden, so I always brush the lawn when the piggies are going out in the run and move the run as far as possible from the tree. Also I cover the run with a large sheet or several large bath towels to stop as much blossom as possible from going in their run.xx
