I have a regular cabbage in the cupboard but I keep hearing mixed reports on wether its ok for piggies (gas/bloat) If its ok in small quantities, what would you call a small quantity? half/quarter of a leaf for example?

They love apple, broccoli carrots and cucumber so far... they turned their noses up at pepper and banana

Thanks :)

Yes its fine only small amounts though maybe a leaf for one guinea! 1/2 times a week. I'm finding greens very economical this time of year. :)

Yep, a leaf per pig a couple of times a week is reasonable.

I have come across a few scare stories about cabbage and broccoli causing gas/bloat, but remember a lot of pigs get cabbage daily with no issues. Some pigs can be sensitive and susceptible to some buildup of gas, but I have only heard of a few pigs who have had this.

The only issues I ever came across was, when I fed cabbage daily for a while, the poops stank a lot more than when I only fed cabbage a few times a week.
