If this is in the wrong topic sorry :[

But I need some help.
We checked the sex of course (girl!), but she seems fat,
She has been eating alot, and we know that Chocolate is a girl.
Its quite weird.
And I don't want Cinnamon pregnant at this early age!
Or maybe she is just eating alot and getting fat.

:]

WE got a bit stunned to find that Chocolate rear was a bit different to Cinnamons, but we are sure they are both girls.

Fingers crossed!

Can you take pigtures of both rears. We can help you sex them.

How long have you had Cinnamon?

8 Days now,
We suspect she is 6-7 weeks old now, I really don't want her pregnant, (She is way to young!)

also, i forgot to say,
I had them together for eating time on the couch in abox.
And Cinnamon starts cleaning herself then finishes then Chocolate does,
And Cinnamon runs under Chocolate and purrs (rumble?)

I will take pictures soon when they come inside,
Chocolates is hard to see, because of her curly-fur belly :]

different in what way?

The distance between the anus and the penis is far greater than the distance between the anus and the vulva of a female.

like chocolates is more... pointy.

Or maybe just be me seeing things, but I mays well post pictures.

Better to be safe then sorry.

Did cinnamon come from a pet shop?

Are you weighing them weekly, although babies grow alot anyway. Weighing them will still an indication if they are pregnant.

It's also possible she could have got pregnant in the shop too.

I would get pictures so we can help you be sure they are the girls.

We did get her from a pet shop but they were separated (females on one side, boys on the other) they could of been together before they were taken there :x
Also we didn't get Chocolate from the same place as Cinnamon.

Post pigtures soon!

I actually found a website.
It should how to sex your own guinea pig,
I looked, on C & C and they were both girls.

I might post photos when I get a change!

Thanks for the help!

Just to state clearly - a guinea pig pregnancy lasts 10 weeks, the first half of which you don't see ANYTHING. Girls don't get pregnant before 4 weeks old at the earliest, so at Cinnamon's age, you simply cannot see any signs. The size of babies can differ a lot, and Cinnamon can simply have been one of a small litter with a mum that had lots of milk, providing her with a very good start into life.

Guinea pigs do come with different body shapes, and some sows can have much bigger bums than others - just look at my avatar! My two teddies are sisters, but Nerys (with the Battenberg bum) has a huge bum compared to her sister's (who's right opposite her). None of them has ever been pregnant.

Please weigh your piggies once weekly. If they gain weight at a rate of 20-30g per week, then all is OK. This can go up to an occasional 50g and still be normal. Any regular increase in weight gain above that is suspect, especially if it is sustained.

I'm a little worried about mine though, he is supposed to be a boy but his stomach feels really odd to me over the last few days and i keep worrying he could be pregnant and a girl lol! xx
