The reason I ask is that I'm sure that Zebedee, Dylan and Dougal's coats are all softer than when I adopted them nearly 5 weeks ago. I wondered if maybe its a result of them perhaps having a better diet than they did before they ended up in the rescue. Or maybe all the stroking they're getting is doing it? Or maybe its the time of year? Or maybe its my imagination!

i think the condition of their hair can tell you about their general health definitely. when ill, it's all fluffed and almost greasy looking. just dull really. when they are well and being fed a good diet, they seem so smooth and shiny :luv:

Unless you have a Brillo pad rexy or teddy type piggy!

Guinea pigs coats tell you so much about their health. It sounds like your boys are flourishing under your care.

i have two teddies as well and their coat hasnt changed since i got them

I'm glad you asked this because I think the same has happened to Alfie, when I first got him his coat felt almost wirey, now it's really soft! I did wonder why, sounds like they're all happy piggies then :)

I was hoping that was the case, but, like everyone on the forum, I'm so keen for the boys to be happy and healthy that I wondered if I was just telling myself what I wanted to hear! Lol!
