Hi, on trimming my boys nails today I noticed this little bit on one front foot and much smaller one on the other front foot and am unsure what it could be.

Will try and post picture of it but my boy is a struggler and ive only myself around to try holding and taking20180710_124613.webp20180710_124635.webp

Don’t worry, that’s just a harmless foot spur / Calus. You can trim them or leave them if they’re not causing discomfort.

Both my piggies have them and my vet just gently trims them down when they go for nail trims and check ups

Hi! Take a deep breath! It is a harmless foot spur, which is very common. Best leave it be until it is an acute risk of catching and ripping live skin open. Never cut a spur too close to live skin; it can really cripple a piggy.

Oh thank god, was stressing I'd have to get him to the vets before taking him and his brother on holiday this weekend 😁
