Hehe! Smaller-than-piggy male rodents (rats, mice, Syrian hamsters especially) often need help cleaning down there when they're old, or if there's another reason limiting mobility. If you don't pop their penis out and regularly remove it, the build up can glue the urethra closed causing serious problems. Hence me seeing mention of glue and boys and thinking that xD

Like when I saw Godfrey licking his, ahem, erm. Well, you see, I saw him licking his...*screws up face*...penis.
Yes, he did it in front of his female owner, then it tucked back in and he toddled off like everything was fine and not awkward.

I just have 3 sows now but there's regularly a sexual frenzy going on in the cage...the girls are very noisy about it!

I have another theory that some boars take their personal cleanliness past the point of no return. It has been documented that some male mammals do masterbate.

The sadly departed GPM ASBO Twins were awful at self cleaning and had to be cleaned by me on a regular basis. Their willys would get rings of smegma around them along with the odd hair etc. Pinky, the Skinny is very hygiene conscious and will push his willy out to clean it.

Has anyone else seen this happen?
GPM thought it was only them that have had boys clean themselves. A male pig will sit up, arms by his side, hunch over and do a little shudder to push his willy out, clean it and then pull it back in. It could be misread as poop eating but poop eating is done more like a side grab though.
This is a bit like singing/chirping, it's very rarely seen.
 
I never saw Humbug or Scruffy clean themselves. They were neutered at 5 months, I don't know if that makes a difference to cleanliness issues.
