Wellllll today I took into the rescue a very pretty teddy girl called Misty. Her owner gave her up as her sister had passed away during the very cold winter and since then she's been on her own and didn't seem happy.

I introduced her and Duke in the run and they were happy enough. Tonight they have been in the cage with a plate of grass and veg - all been fine. He's not pushy and so far so good.

I have left them to it now in the shed - I'm freaking a bit but trying to resist going back in.

BTW they are available for adoption and are on the website.

Keep your fingers crossed - it's been very easy up until now, I hope nothing goes wrong.

What a gorgeous couple! Looks like Duke has finally found his dream girl - I must admit that Misty is worth the wait!

I am quite positive that it works out - if something goes wrong in a boy/girl meeting, it usually manifests pretty quickly and you will know within an hour or two of them being together in their hutch/cage. Any girl that just runs and squeaks is usually no problem at all. Only the ones that stand and fight!

PS: I SO wish I could have them - they look so cute snuggling up together!
 
They make such a gorgeous couple. I hope they find their perfect home together soon.
 
Oh I am so happy for Duke, he really deserves to find that special lady to grow old with!
 
I've been and checked on them this morning, she's absolutely petrified of me but loves Duke :)

They are so sweet together and it's safe to say I am over the moon for them! Yippeeee.
 
Lucky Misty not having to be own her own any more - and even luckier Duke to have such a stunner move in! Fingers crossed for them.

I'm pleased to say it's still all systems go for the lovebirds.

She hates me and is by far the least tame pig I have ever come across. But she loves Duke.

She has the start of Fungal i've just noticed so it's bath time tomorrow for the both of them, I'm scared as she's a real fighter. I think she is going to need to tame a bit before she's ready to go anywhere. Poor love - the lady said it's lack of handling why she's like this but she's absolutely petrified when anyone is near her. I hope nothing else happened to her to make her so scared.

I'm hoping Duke (who is scared but not like her) will help her loosen up a bit - he will come take food from me at least.
 
I'm pleased she loves Duke. She must have been so lonely since her friend passed.
I'm sure she'll come round with a bit of time and love. Good luck with the baths. x
 
Am glad all is going well still. Poor little girl, hope she comes out of her shell a bit soon.
 
I think you've made them a happy ever after! Hopefully she'll get more confident together with Duke and with your care! Finges crossed!
 
It hurts to think how lonely she's been. I am just pleased she now has a wonderful friend and company for hopefully a LONG time to come.

No matter how afraid of me she is she has Duke and they are so cute together.
 
Do you have any more pics of the lovely couple?

Hopefully over time she will watch what Duke does and he will encourage her to be braver, that's what Johnny did for Gertie though now he is the wimp bless him.
 
I am glad that Duke has finally found a lady who adores him!

Misty will hopefully settle more quickly with Duke showing her how to!

I'll get some more photos tomorrow I expect when they are being bathed and afterwards in the indoor run whilst they dry off.

Such a gorgeous looking couple, seriously they are amazingly gorgeous!
 
And they call it piggy love...Aww! they are so cute i hope they find a loving forever home soon! they are gorgeous piggies!
