Hi everyone!
I have a 2 month old guinea pig named Basil and I've had him for a little over a week now. I recently had to go on a trip for the weekend and left him with my grandparents. Before I left, he was still a little skittish, especially if I tried to handle him or walked by his cage. However, while he was staying at their house, they reported him popcorning all over his cage even when they just entered the room.
Could it be that it's just me he's not comfortable with? He's jumped around me before, but usually only when I was bringing him hay. He looked really happy there and now that he's back with me, he barely leaves his hut and runs away whenever he sees me come close.
I won't disown him or anything like that if he dislikes me, but it stings a little that he was so happy with total strangers and not me
