New Born Pup
My youngest guinea pig Peaches had a swollen ear, and some dry skin behind it (the front was swollen not the whole ear) and I decided after research to take her to the vets, she just looked straight at it and said it was a scratch and prescribed me some anti-bacterial wash and some oral medicine, to reduce inflammation and the wash to clean it and heal it better. However Peaches seems to be scratching the open sores, but it can't be a scratch as she has one open sore behind her ear that is slightly on the back of her head and one on the front of the ear. The redness and swollen of the ear has gone but I believe she is scratching the healing sores and making it worse! I treated her for mites too in case it was mites, I did that on Saturday so hopefully they'll be gone! Any ideas what I could do? Or even if it could maybe be ringworm? Here is an image of the top of her head that she scratched!
