This morning I have found out that my new NEUTERED boy (2 years old, neutered last 25th of October and adopted last month) and my sow Calliope (the one he has been in love with since the very first day) have built a proper hole on the fence for being able to pass through (during the night the group is still sleeping in two separated areas) and meeting each other. I let them do that. Then it started a special "dance" between them, a different behaviour of my Calliope, who started SHOWING her intimate parts to him and then... they "made it", or at least the poor guy tried more and more times, always falling down as his body is half size of Calliope's!:))
Anyway I was and I still am worried and with one doubt in mind: was Osvaldo's procedure really effective and correctly performed ? The vet who made the job is one of the most valiant and cavy savvy doctor of northern Italy (they say), BUT...:hmm:
I know that the sexual istincts will not change after the op, but what I have seen today seemed to be a bit weird... They went on and on, trying different positions! (and my stupid camera had batteries down!) He is too tiny for her and she has a WIG behind there...:xd:
They have been going on for a long time, now the Man is sleeping and the girl is eating...
Is it normal? have you ever seen anything like that into your cages?

Yeah, perfectly normal. I've had a few neutered boars and they're happy to keep on humping!

I've only ever had boars though so their attention falls on the other boys!

Mine do that, even girl to girl. I don't even know if they can check. Perhaps take a sample. Would the vet have the op In a diary. Who told you he had been done if so he won't have any testiculars.

I have been given Osvaldo with all the vet certificates, he had some poo analisis, the procedure and some check up then; in the booklet there is the list of the days, the therapy, the type of "anestesia", the little difficulty he had with the gut later, the meds they used and other medical stuff... and of course the signature of the vet... My crazy doubt is only: is such procedure always safe and effective? Of course if something bad will happen I will put a bomb into that vet's clinic!

I had a neutered boar. First thing he did on being introduced to his new sows was try to mate. He had fun for the rest of his life and no furry consequences. Rest easy and I hope Osvaldo enjoys his life with you

Aww so the little Romeo has managed to win over at least one of your beautiful wigs. Calipso is gong to be very jealous! It must have been hilarious watching him trying to mount a pig twice his size.

I guess sleeping in Calliopes bread bin was his way of wooing her over with his manly aroma.

Sorry! Been laughing myself silly at the Autocorrect - he’s been humping WIGS! Autocorrect drives me potty! Wish I knew how to disable it!

My new boar had never met a girl before and when he saw the two sows his reaction was very masculine!

Calipso remained there to watch the x-movie!!
I don't know why but there is something weird in the air tonight... They are acting as three old friends now... also Calipso! I joined the two cages (with the hole build by them today) and they are passing through one another eating here and there... the only thing still missing is some good aristocratic manner as "please, after Her, madame!":hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:
weird... something weird in the air... no rumblestrutting, no screams, no chasing... they are sharing food, hay, houses...
The power of love!:hmm:

thank you @eileen ! the fact is that if I personally had cut the jewels I would not worry at all! ahaha! Last day I was supposing: what if he had a THIRD hidden testicle?:yikes::))
But I will let them enjoy their life... now they seem to like each other more than before...

Awww look at those two, it's love!
yes! real love since the very first minute! :)) Osvaldo, once put down on the floor, started walking back and forth along the barrier rumbling and stretching his body for appearing longer to Calliope (Calipso did not care of him). It was so hilarious!:D:xd:
