Hi everyone
So we've had our piggies for 2 weeks this very day! And boy has it all been a learning curve. So we have them housed in a cage, but after a few folks mentioned on here it was a little small, we got them a playpen too, but it means that the room we have them in, which is our spare guest room, just isn't big enough for both. So I started to panic that we'd made a big mistake! So I thought of other places in the house they could go, and other than the garden (which I don't want to do), it's my daughters bedroom, she has quite a large room with a space perfect for their cage and playpen.
But some family members (who I hasten to add have no clue about keeping pets so where they get this from I don't know!) say ooh no you shouldn't keep pets in their bedrooms.
So I'm asking the experts, would it be ok if they were kept in her room? It's a lovely space, they will be a bit more tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the house, but I'm thinking they may welcome the quiet? And I guess the other concern could be that they could be noisy in the night? Although my daughter is a heavy sleeper and sleeps through pretty much anything!
Thank you for your advice, again!

) If you have the space to upgrade to a bigger cage that certainly would be better for the piggies. As regards needing quiet, our 2 boys have lived in what I would call our family room - it has TV and radio in there which are often on, also family and our 2 dogs are in and out all the time, but they do get some quiet time too, and it doesn't seem to bother them. I think if you know that your daughter will treat them with care and not disturb too much when they are having a settled quiet time I can't see a problem. A negative might be if she has lots of boisterous friends round that might not be so thoughtful - it would probably be best having them where you can keep an eye on them. Don't know if this helps, but there will probably be others that will give some guidance too.
(Do you like my new picture) the grey one is rose and the other one is Autumn. Autumn is my favourite season and Rose is my favourite flower. What do you think?
