Is it ok to put the guinea pigs on the grass from now on when the gress is dry or just a little damp?

as i think some of them wont to get out now

I think its still too damp for putting them on the grass just yet. I am mowing my lawn tomorrow so the ground can dry out more before putting them on it. To begin with I always put them out in the afternoon when the ground has dried off a bit.
Just because we have had a little bit of sun does not mean spring is here yet. I checked metcheck today and its still 0c at night and part of the day too cold for piggies. It even said small chance of the white stuff could come again which is not unheard of I was stuck in a blizzard in april one year.

Its been lovley and sunny here today, so i put my girls on the grass. Just check how damp the ground is before you put them on:)

OH i hate to be a bit thick....
but what is wrong if the ground is damp?

I think their tummies get wet and they could catch cold, but I could be very wrong! All of mine have been out over the last two days, the weather here has been gorgeous, very sunny and my grass is not too damp. Half an hour to an hour each pair - boys first in the run yesterday. Built a quick c & c and put a couple in there while I was gardening today. They all loved it.

I put mine out whenever the sun is shining and it's warm - so they were out on monday and all day today. I always put a box or cat carrier in the run (even in the ark) packed with hay so if it gets chilly or damp they can get warm. They just love it and their little faces.......................:<>

Yeah me too Toddy I always put a box for them to jump in. (I love your Avatar Toddy, he looks just like my Sally. I also have a foster piggy called Toddy is just the best, love the name.) xx

My guinea pigs are outside in runs on the grass every day even all through the winter. The only time they stay inside (they live in a greenhouse) is when there is snow on the ground.

I get them out before I go to work in the morning and put them in when it gets dark. They have a box off the ground to hide in. They don't seem to be worried by damp grass, they just spend all day eating it!

my piggies an rabbits go out daily, the rabbits come out too, they cant get enough of the fresh grass,
