Is it ok to put them outside now?

Do you mean to move indoor piggies into a hutch outside for the summer?
Have they been going out during the day and coming back in at night?
What are the temperatures in your area overnight? You are ideally looking for 15 degrees overnight for indoor piggies to spend nights outside and they need to be ‘hardened off’ slowly. There can be quite a stark difference between day and night temperatures outside and that is what you are looking to minimise for piggies who are kept inside. Ive got 26 degrees here today but just 10 tonight so for indoor piggies, that is a huge difference which they won’t be ready for

Sorry yes I realise I didn't say much sorry. My kids are keeping me busy today

Yes indoor piggies going outdoors permanently. They have been out in their hutch when the weather is good. Its probably around 10 degrees at night at the moment.

When I move my indoor animals outside, I start with leaving them outside for a few hours in the day, then build it up to all day, then I put them out first thing in the morning until just before I go to bed for a few days, before finally leaving them out overnight. That way they can really adjust to the temperature xx

I would say don’t put them out until it’s at least 15c overnight, as above. You can put them out during the day when it’s warm enough then bring them back indoors. Keep doing that until it’s warm enough to leave them out overnight.

That’s what I did with mine when they moved out. I first put them in the hutch when it was warm enough during the day. Then moved them out completely in summer when I knew it was warm enough at night.

:agr:

I would think it’s still a little too chilly for indoor piggies to be out at night just yet.

I agree with the above posters. Ideally you want it to be at least 15 degrees consistently before leaving them out overnight. They are fine to go out during the day as daytime temperatures are currently 15 degrees at least
