I got a new bedding for my piggies yesterday. I'm trying different kinds of bedding to see wish one is the best for them. I got klin dried softwood bedding, sludge free. And my boy Ugo right away started eating the pieces of softwood in the bedding. Is that normal? The bedding is really soft and the pieces are small. But there pieces of softwood that he tries to eat or nibble. Is that normal in piggies? Will it cause any harm to him by eating it? Please let me know. I will appreciate any information. I don't want nothing to happen to my boy Ugo.

Does he have enough hay to chew? Normally, pigs can chew on pine bedding, but it doesn't last long, as they should prefer hay. How much does he eat from it?

He has a lot of hay, pellets and even fruit crunch sticks. But he still nibble on the soft wood. I think he just likes to try everything. He's a big boy. He almost 2 pounds and he's still young. Not even 4 months yet. But at least I'm calmer now that I know it's normal for him to nibble it. Thanks.
