At the moment my baby piggies are eating Muesli, over the years I have always fed my Piggies on Complete Pellets due to picky eating.I would like to get my young ones onto Pellets as they are picking out their favourite pieces, leaving me a little concerned they are not going to get all their vitamins etc.I have over the last few days added sml amounts of pellets to their Muesli..but they don't appear to be interested...So I have soaked the pellets and as if by magic they really like it this way (maybe they find it more interesting and smell more appealing) Is it ok yo feed it to them mushy and a little warm.Hopefully once they get the taste they will prefer this.

Hi,sorry I don't know. I tried pellets with mine but they were so Used to museum it was hard and gave up after weeks. It then again mine were well over a year old at this stage.

I mussh up some for my boys periodically, tomorrow (after the soft pellets have been eaten) try leaving the hard pellets in the cage and dont give them the musli alternative. I suspect when they recognise the smell they will be far more interested! my boys always are :)

I had to do this with my babies too. Once they have had a bit of the mush try gradually easing out the museli and putting more pellets in. Then when you're down to about a quarter of the museli, start mushing some pellets and leaving some whole. Then ease the mush out, leaving just the museli and solid, then ease the museli out to leave just the solid. It's a long process and takes 1-2 weeks but it's worth it to make sure they have their vitamins :)

Mushy pellets are OK - it is a good food for baby piggies, but in the long term you also need to offer hard pellets to help grind down the back teeth.

I can't see the harm, it's just extra water. Mine were a bit iffy with nuggets until they grew up a little, so i think the pieces were a bit to big as the large muesli pieces were flat.
