Is it safe to make a pine ramp and upper floor?

I am about to convert a big dog cage into a home for 2 piggies.

I am sure i read somewhere they shouldn't have pine but would it be ok as a ramp and floor. I'm sure they'll nibble.:{

Guinea pigs nibble most things and I would not risk using pine. However, there have also been many cases of guinea pigs falling off ramps and breaking their legs.

So if it was a dog cage, I would use a normal wooden division for they playing/sleeping area.
