Hi I have been having a look about and it read about putting a teddy bear in with my pigges now I love this idea but what about the stuffing if they eat it is it safe or will it hurt them? Also want to try and make a fleece pigloo I am sure I can do it but wondered is it safe to put stuffing in that? I would be very greatfull for any replys as I really want to begin another making project.

It is safe as long as you remove things like plastic eyes etc.

Stuffing is OK. I use quilt wadding for my piggy furniture. Here is a link to patterns with step by step picture instruction. Sorry that it is German and the translation is hopelessly garbled!

What you could do is find a teddy marked as safe from birth/newborn, these tend not to have removable eyes or long pile that sheds as they're designed for babies to be able to suck on and comply with a stricter safety standard.

Guinea pigs aren't often don't chew things much (compared to rabbits and other animals) so if he doesn't chew it then I wouldn't worry. :)

I heard of someone taking out all the stuffing, filling a toy with hay, and then sewing it up again :))
