Is it so WRONG?!

haha lol...
do you think its fair to have rabbits and guineas living like that but in the house? i want to have a room for my pets when i have my own house lol

Kat that to me sounds perfect, but only problem we have is when we moved in we had a hugh swimming pool we filled it in but have found grass is a little patchey in places we have put it down to the chlorine and chemicals in the pool so am reluctant to let them roam free range in garden, I know I know i'm over protective but you never know, I'm all for free range and herds of pigs and think maybe its the way forward and how most animasl like pigs will be kept in future,

Can you get a soil analysis done to see if it is chemicals that are affecting the grass?. Grass can have a tendency to be a bit patchy until fully established. If your soil is ok then chucking some more grass seed down might help and then you can let your piggies out :)

That hutch on the previous page is great. Where can you buy them?

Guinea pigs live in herds in the wild don't they? If they get on, it isn't a problem.

ohHHHhh sounds like piggy heaven :) If its super cold it is ideal to bring them in but otherwsie runing aorund with space and grass - heaven :D

its £200, if i had my piggy family back together again, i'd buy it for them, its perfect.

I've been thinking of doing something like that for my piggies, great minds! ;D ;D

A friend rehomed two rescue pigs to a girl nearby who apparently has a piggy heaven within a walled garden and she said what a fab setup it was
I really wnat to see pictures of enclosures and stuff like that for ideas, but i can't find any on the internet :(

we returfed about 4 times and each time its patchey different type grass and different times of year etc, think its the chemicals used, and wont take a risk we do have some nice places in the garden but wouldn't let them just go free range becasue of the patchey bits

That hutch looks great - very cute!
At the moment we think we will probably keep the main hutch in the shed in the Summer but use a good sized run on grass in the better weather. We could move the whole hutch outside but I am a bit concerned about their safety: we are very rural so foxes, rats and mice as well as cats are visitors...not to mention the moles. We also get an awful lot of sunshine in the garden with limited areas of shade so have to be careful where we site them.

Have you tried Cereal grasses or a Timothy/Orchard mix? These grow high for tunneling though so won't look good if you want a lawn LOL!
