is my piggy dying?

I’m very sorry for the loss of your piggy, but I am even more sorry that you had to go through the agony of watching Prima getting worse. It must have been absolutely heartbreaking, when all we want to do is fix them but we cannot.
Her suffering is over now, I am glad you made the journey back to the vets to see if anything more could be done. It’s unfortunate that nothing more than helping her to say goodbye was the outcome. Please take comfort in the fact that you were there for her, you loved her and she knew that, i’m sure she loved you just as much.

also i need to say this. some people who have responded to this thread have made me feel like absolute crap during this horrible time, making me feel like I'm not doing enough. i know my guinea pig and you dont. so please, have more respect next time someone here is losing a pig they love. not trying to start fights.
I’m not sure if you feel I was one of those people. But what I meant was I was shocked that the vet had not really discussed any options with you. I was in no way questioning what you had or had not done as a pet owner. I do not know you or you piggies so have no idea of your personal circumstances other that what you write here.

So, sorry if my post was unclear in any way.

So sorry you had to make that awful decision and have her put to sleep. It’s really awful, you did everything you could and she will know how much you loved her x sleep tight little lady x

awn, Darling. Just reading through this thread is heart breaking. I hope your piggie made it safely over the rainbow bridge.

ok. I'm really sorry you have lost you're piggie and reading this thread in such a sad way. Prima like every piggie that is kept by humans depends 100% on that human to live not 99.9% but 100%. Food Water etc.
When the end comes for a piggie theirs lots ways we can help and as you I've asked for advise on this forum.
I respect most on here know a lot more than I that's why i asked but I didn't agree with some things suggested.
When you ask for help it's hard from a distance to help sometimes suggestions come across as harsh but seriously the intrest of the animal is why we are here.
I hope you ok and really sorry your piggie is in Rainbow World playing with a couple of mine so much loved and missed. :bye::bye:

I'm sorry you lost your piggy, but I'm really glad to have found this thread! one of mine started doing the 'gasping for air' thing out of the blue yesterday. I was going to go to the vet but she didn't last that long :(
