Is our piggie pregnant?

Hi & Welcome

If she was housed with a male then it is VERY likely that she is pregnant, its hard to tell from the pic though, she is definitely a little pear shaped and one bigger bulge on her left side than the other side but she doesn't look that big, but then it could be a small litter, but if you have had her 5 weeks (and you haven't had her with any males) she would be close to her due date (between 70 - 72 days)

Hopefully someone can come along and work out the maths.

Am i the only one who had a porn video pop up aswell as the picture in that link? hmmmm, dodgy.

If shes been housed with a male then she will be pregnant. Whats happened to the male?
At 5 weeks she would be half way through her preganancy and only now will you begin to notice signs of her getting a baby buldge. (thats if she was mated at the last minute?) Are you sure it was a male in with her? Best thing to do is to weigh her weekly to measure any weight gain. Anything over 50g is suspicious of pregnancy.

Unfortunatly all you can do is wait it out.

x.

Opps I've replied to a duplicate thread - but I'll repeat it here as this seems to be the one with the most replies.

Is this the same female that had a litter back at the start of December or a different pig?

And yes - I've just realised that I've had a porn pop up playing for the last 30 mins - not impressed where you host your pics !

Based on that pic, she does look pregnant. I've seen the likes of that in local pet shops where they keep all guinea pigs in one cage, the tummy bulge looks different from a normal fat piggy belly.

And, as mentioned by previous posters, if she was living with a male piggy before you got her, there's a high possibility that she is indeed pregnant.

Something horrible popped up =/ use Photobucket next time?
