Hi everyone

I took Rio to the vets Thursday night to have a check up and his toe nails cut. Whilst I was there with him the vet drained his cyst and cleared a big build up of poo that was stuck.

Since then Rio has eaten normally and squeaking for his food, when the fridge opens etc but he's not running around as much, he's hiding in his little under cover bit and in his tube. Ususlly when we put hay out he lays with his head stuck into it.

Is he still in shock about the vets? The vet said he's doing very well for 6 years 6 months old but I'm so worried as he doesn't seem himself.

Thank you x

Have your checked his impaction again? If in any doubt, monitor his bum and his weight in case he has got another, so far not yet noticeable issue.

Yes checked his bum and I can't see anything stuck, it looks clear. There's lots of poo in his hitch too as he was cleaned out yesterday.
