Is Coco fat? Sometimes she looks really pudgy around the sides, I don’t know if that is just where she carries her weight. She’s 1115gms. I guess i’m just concerned for her and don’t want to be feeding her too much.

Tia is about 1450. She has lost a bit of weight now that I have cut there nuggets down. I'll put a photo of her in the weighing scales.

I wouldn't say she is fat at all. Piggies come in all different shapes and sizes

I feel a lot better now, thanks guys. Seems like there is always something that I worry about with these two lol.

Ummm ..... my Sorrell is - gulp - 1741g which the vet says is too big, but having given her a written list of everything he gets to eat, she agrees there's nothing I can cut down on. I just seem to have a Big Boy. Sage is 1461g.

I weigh my lot regularly to keep an eye out for large changes, but overall I try not to worry too much over the number on the scale (now they are at their stable adult weights).
For example Oreo is our biggest piggy, and also our most active.
She flies around the cage on a regular basis, and is up and down the ramp more times a day than I can count.
She eats well and appears healthy, so I don't worry that she is bigger than my other piggies.

I think my three original boys are quite petite, although they are still young; weighing in between 700 and 850g. My two new boys were around the 1050g mark, but they both dropped a bit, I think partly due to the stress of a new home and maybe their haircuts to get rid of the matting. Bailey dropped to about 980g, so I'm keeping an eye on him. He's eating and pooping fine though, so hopefully he'll go back up.

I think the girls have hit their adult weights or are getting close because now days their weight will fluctuate each week only by 20-25gms but I think Coco just looks fat to me because Patchy is quite a lot smaller in weight at 1038gms. When I hold them it's like holding a rock and then switching to holding a stone lol.

He looks healthy though for his size.

Hadley weighed over 3 lbs last time we went to the vet. She is just a big girl! Leela is tiny. It's weird to see them together. Leela is half the size of Hadley (Hadley is also long and broad... Leela is just tiny everywhere.)

Wow, that's a big piggy. We'd love to see pics of the two of them ! Any excuse.

Same with us. Our "baby" Alice is 6 months old, but she's already way heavier than Rosie and Maia. She's also surprisingly agile and fearless, always wanting to climb high and jumping over obstacles I would never have guessed a piggy could jump over. When we brought her home at 3 weeks old, she started running through the ramps of our 2-storey hutch in less than 30 minutes (in contrast, it took Rosie and Maia a few weeks to learn to use them cautiously). She's our acrobat piggy.

I just hope she doesn't reach the two kilo mark by the time she's fully grown :)

Yup, that's how she jumps. Cangaroo style :)

She seems to enjoy it so much. All of my other piggies popcorn, but she just bounces up and down as though she's on springs

I've been trying to catch it for ages, as I'd like a record of her for our own piggy photo albums, but she's very camera shy. If I manage to capture it on video, I promise I'll upload it.
