I have had her for about 3 months and I just got her a partner about 1 month. She has got a bit fatter but I’m not sure if it is healthy or not. Here is a picture. sorry there blurry (she’s fast)

Hello. When you say you got her a partner do you mean a boyfriend? Is the new piggy a boy or a girl?
 
They were both sold as females. I got them from a local pet shop

 
How long exactly have you had her. I think a piggy pregnancy is 10 weeks.
 
We can’t diagnose a pregnancy from a picture, but she does seem to have that kind of shape.
How many weeks have you had her? You say three months but is that an estimate? A pregnancy lasts for 10 weeks.

If this isn’t a pregnancy, then in terms of healthy weight, then the only way to know what is healthy for an individual piggy is via checking their heft yourself (whether you can feel ribs). We can’t say from a picture.

Hi and welcome

What gender is her partner? If you have a boar, please separate immediately because sows come into season within our hours of giving birth although your second piggy is most definitely not the father in this pregnancy. Sows are sadly nonstop breeding machines. Please double check. Illustrated Sexing Guide


Just for how many weeks have you had her exactly and has she been with another piggy in this time or could she have come into contact with an another due to another person in the family?
She looks like she could be potentially in the last very stages of a ca. 10 weeks pregnancy (although we can only guess and never diagnose a pregnancy just from a picture) but the time line as presented by you doesn't quite pan out.
Can you please be more precise about whether the ca. 3 months are within 11 weeks of her arrival or whether there is a possibility that another household member could have taken your piggy for a 'plate meet' with other piggies behind your back?

I bought them both from a pet store and they were both sold as females she has been in contact with the New Guinea pig for around 6-7 weeks
 
Could you please answer how long you have had her.

I would highly suggest the check the sex or your other piggy to be certain that it is in fact a sow. If you have had the other piggy 7 weeks but have had this piggy in the picture for longer than 10 weeks then it is possible your other piggy is a boar and has got your piggy pregnant.
 
I’ve had my current one for around 3 1/2 months and I got my second one 6-7 weeks ago.

3 1/2 months is in excess of 10 weeks (most likely if it is 3 1/2 months, then you’ve had her 12-14 weeks). A pregnancy lasts around 10 weeks.

Please double check your other piggy immediately And separate them if your other piggy is a boar

Can you look at the new piggies parts. Post a photo if help is needed. You need to be able to sex your piggie and double check the genders. Please look for the presence of testes and penis in the new piggie.

How old is the new piggie?
 
Please separate your companion ASAP and check the gender; as they have been together for more than 10 weeks, you have mostly likely a boar.

I just checked and she is definitely a she. She should be about 3-4 months but because I got her from a pet store it may not be exact. What are other reasons she would look like that?
 
Do their bits look the same? Did you check for the penis ridge and fleshy seal inside the slit?
 
She does look like she might be pregnant. But if you are saying your other piggy is also a girl and she hasn’t been with any other piggy then I would take her to the vets in case she has a medical problem. Keep us posted.

I made them an appointment for Monday morning. I can’t get in any sooner because they are booked for Friday and Saturday and they are closed on Sunday.

Just to clarify: did you check the other pig, as well?
 
Yes, I checked both and they were both females
 
If she is pregnant then it must be the second piggy who you've had for 7 weeks. Turn this piggy onto her/his back so you can clearly see the bits. A girl's buts will usually look like a capital Y but a boy's will look like a dotted i. You could compare them to be more sure. You have a maximum of 2 to 3 weeks to remove the other piggy if he is a male as she may have been made pregnant in the first day or two they were together.
