I have realized there is white sort of liquid coming out of both of my guinea pigs eyes, I have tried putting comomile tea on them using a cotton pad and she looked better but shortly after it came back. I also realized she coughs or maybe sneezes alot but I can't tell if she's sneezing or coughing. She doesn't seem to wonder around the cage often which makes me think she is in pain. Anyone help me?

Guinea pigs produce a milky fluid from their eyes when cleaning which is perfectly normal.

However, sneezing and coughing isn’t normal and she could be developing a uri.

I would take her to the vets for s check up if I was you

Hi and welcome!

The white fluid is eye cleaning fluid. Guinea pigs don't blink their eyes like we do, and watery fluid is a sign of an irritation or injury to the eye. You may find this guide her helpful in learning what is normal and what not in guinea pigs: Guinea pig body quirks

If you are worried about sneezing or coughing, please have her checked out by a vet. It could be a respiratory infection (URI), which can be deadly or damage permanently if left untreated. If your girl is found to have URI within 2-3 weeks after purchase, you can reclaim the vet cost from the pet shop by presenting the vet bill together with the sales receipt at the shop as exposure and infection must have happened at the shop. We recommend to always have a new piggy vet checked unless it has been adopted from a good standard rescue with mandatory quarantine and vet treatment.

Is she a single guinea pig? In that case, she will be missing having company of her own kind round the clock; guinea pigs are group animals and not wired to be on their own.
