Junior Guinea Pig
I have a guinea pig who is 6 years old. Few months ago I noticed she wasn't moving as much/had trouble moving. I took her to the vet. He said she was in the final stages of her life and to just make her comfortable. Little after that she has stopped moving. Like she eats but I have to put food right in front of her. Later I'll come and she'll be faced in different direction but can't move around unless I pick her up to move her. Her head is fine she will eat. For water I have to give through syringe. I asked vet about pain meds and he said it won't really improve quality of life. Is putting her down the best option? I really didn't want to, but it's been 3 months since she's stopped being able to move, and it seems putting her down is the best option. She's basically paralzyed. I don't think she can really feel her lower body/and only part of her top body.
