Is the smell of cedar toxic to guinea pigs?

Recently ive had a moth problem in our house so my mom bought these cedar wood blocks to just place around the house to hopefully scare away the moths, I'm aware cedar if harmful to guinea pigs but if i had some of the blocks in my room or around my stuff is it okay? Is it just harmful if they chew on it or...?

Hi there. I am not an expert but I have read that cedar is toxic for all small animals.

I really would not have it anywhere near them or even in the room they are in.
As piggies have very sensitive airways and a strong sense of smell, anything which produces any scent needs to be kept well away from them - strong scents can cause respiratory problems so never put in the room with them or in a way which the smell is going to drift to them.
